Winter warming on Ardross St

27 Jun

Sunday just gone was rain, rain and more of it!!

I had a coffee date with an old friend on Ardross St and we sat inside our chosen cafe drinking hot coffee.

Conversation was good so I was happy to be there, regardless of how good or bad the coffee was………

Conversation was good and I was listening intently until I saw a waitress at the resturant next door deliver a dish to one of their patrons. It looked like passionfruit souffle – hot, fluffy souffle -yum!!

I pointed it out to my friend so she knew why I was distracted from conversation and then we just sat there in Souffle envy watching it disappear!!

So after we paid for our coffee we agreed to venture next door to Jacs and treated ourselves to a Sunday afternoon souffle!!

Yep it was passionfruit souffle served with creme anglaise – $14 worth of heaven on a plate……………………definately recommend it- even worth a special trip to Ardross St,  Ardross just for the souffle!!

There are certain images that I just love to look at…….

Things that surround me in my world and that remind me of just an experience, a moment of happiness or is just something that I find beautiful.

Not always am I able to capture the image in its full glory but there are some things that I try to savour with a photo

Flannel Fancy

20 Jun

I’ve been in love with Flannel for years! Since they first opened their corner store in South Perth, I’ve treated myself to many outings to feed my fashion addition…….and my love of all things gorgeous.

The clothing in Flannel is comfortable, stylish, effortlessly chic and the fabrics are so luxurious no matter what the style.

Its no wonder that Flannel have impressed the fashion world and they now have stores in Garden City, Cottesloe, South Perth and Subiaco. The label is also available at David Jones and at their online store; https://www.flannel.com.au/E-Shop

If you haven’t yet experienced Flannel – definately treat yourself!

(This is the Flannel Philosophy which I thought was the perfect way to describe the label)

Philosophy   Live, Work and Play!

“Paris meets New York for the Australian lifestyle. Flannel’s collections create a relaxed, luxurious, playful feeling, chalky hues, with a fresh hint of colour, understated, graceful style with an edge of a rock-bohemian chic, for customers who appreciate the finer things in life. Unique and simple, Flannel is a consumate label full of covetable everyday pieces.” Anon

Pickled Fig

19 Jun

Sunday saw us venture to display homes in North Coogee so I thought what better excuse to have a late breakfast at the Pickled Fig in North Fremantle………..

Cant wait to go back there as the vibe is laid back, yet every table was occupied and the outlook takes in the splendour of our gorgeous coastline. I felt like I was on holiday just for an hour!

Recommed the green smoothy (for the taste and the health benefits) and the

grizzly bear pancakes (purely for the taste)

traditional canadian pancakes , bacon, eggs, gooey maple syrup (gfo) $18
