Mid week effervescence

14 Jun

Better late than never, we head off to Crown Perth last night to see the very popular musical, Jersey Boys.

We were given tickets months ago and were delighted to finally have the chance to see this show, given that we'd missed seeing it when it was on in Sydney a while ago.

Ordinarily when we've seen shows in the past, we would book a pre-show dinner at one of the restaurants within the Crown Complex, but with time at a minimum we opted to skip dinner and head for champagne at La Vie.

Whilst you can't book a table at La Vie the bar was ours upon entry, and we found a gorgeous settee to sit and admire La Vie's charming decor and decadent menu.

On a cold winters night, I couldn't think of anything better than sitting in style whilst sipping Billy Cart champagne and indulging in Beluga caviar….. but it was 7.15pm on a Thursday and we had a show to see at 8….

So we sat, we sipped, we fell in love with the luxury and we left….

La Vie is one of my favourite spaces, combining many of the things I love, so its a great place to meet with friends for some good bubbles.

(La Vie gets busy on the weekends so to ensure your complete party can enjoy get there early!)

Onto Jersey Boys, the musical which exceeded our expectations and made me appreciate all of those old songs I've heard before.

I admit I am still a lover of the movie 'Dirty Dancing' so I was pleased to hear a few of the songs that featured in the movie!

So my Thursday night was bought to life with bubbles and music that that made me smile…..

Now for the weekend!!

What a year 2012 was!!

Perth picked up the pace and showed the world what our beautiful city has to offer!

West Australians welcomed hip new bars and restaurants and showcased some of our biggest and best events yet.

With 6 star venues and luxury brand retailers opening their doors, we now have even more reason to embrace and celebrate style.

Every day I find inspiration by so many things here in the West and during the past year I have visited some amazing places, dined on some decadent dishes and fell in love with countless collections from our West Australian designers.

Here, I share a snapshot of some of the ingredients that made WA a place of fun and style during 2012…..

Bliss at the Pan Pacific Perth

13 Aug

A winter weekend stay at the Pan Pacific – just because!

Always love having my car being parked by valet and being greeted by reception staff that are courteous and efficient. I also love the grandeur of a marble foyer and checking into a suite that is bigger than my local coffee shop!

With a recent refurb, the bathrooms at the Pan Pacific were beautifully appointed and with the bath in prime position to view the television, there was no better way to spend the afternoon than soaking in style.

Having a past life in the travel industry, I find myself being a bit of a hotel connoisseur and the one thing that I am really impressed by (especially after an afternoon of soaking) is big fluffy white towels.
The towels at the Pan Pacific are fabulous, as is the crisp white bed linen……these two things alone make me feel very welcome.

I love the simplicity  and purity of pure white linen and towels. Team them up with a bunch of gorgeous white flowers on the table and I not only feel welcome, but I’m right at home!

A comfortable bed and the rain falling on the window outside, was the key to a good night sleep and with breakfast just a phone call away I really did wake up in heaven!!  With waffles on the breakfast menu I was seriously considering taking up full time residency at the Pan Pacific- in my dreams…..

If you are in need of some winter TLC -do yourself a favour and book yourself in to experience your own piece of  Pan Pacific heaven!

With love

The house that rocks!

The House of Zaccaria is a Perth based label and I believe it represents a very modern woman whilst remaining ever so stylish.

The label is a creation of Noeleen Radalj-Zaccaria and Tiffany Spencer who both have extensive fashion industry experience and the partnership has proven a very successful one!

Their design philosophy behind each piece is a conceptualism of soft yet tough, of splendor yet simplicity, of timeless yet eternally inspirational; all the while seeking impeccable quality of stunning fabrics and immaculate workmanship.

Check out their latest Winter collections here; http://www.houseofzaccaria.com/shop/hostage-of-love-winter-2012–1
